About Me

Lhess is Guatemalan and is a Dentist in Antigua. He studied Mayan culture for four years and has extensive knowledge of Guatemalan history and current affairs. He was born during a period in Guatemala´s civil war where the country suffered some of its worst atrocities.  From a young age he travelled with his mother, an Anthropologist, to areas particularly affected by the war.  These experiences had a great impact on his appreciation of its history, culture and strength of its people.

Over the years Lhess has always availed of opportunities to travel in Guatemala alongside his work as a Dentist , including providing private tours.  He takes security of his passengers very seriously from his knowledge of the roads, as well as considerations such as the impact of weather conditions and times of the day when best to travel.  He is passionate about showing the best that Guatemala has to offer and hopefully this will shine through if you choose to take a tour with him.
